Jack Wynne, a student at Woodside High School, brings teamwork, dedication, and a competitive spirit to everything he does. As a football player, he knows the value of strategy and staying cool under pressure—skills that translate seamlessly to the chessboard. Jack is proud to represent Woodside as a chess ambassador, helping build a fun, welcoming community for players of all levels. Whether it’s on the field or across the board, Jack shows up with focus, sportsmanship, and heart.
Yashas has been playing competitive chess for over 7 years and loves expanding the chess community as President of Washington High School’s chess club. He represents Washington at national level debate and badminton tournaments, enjoying the thrill of competition and always pushing himself to improve. Lastly, he loves binging Netflix and programming in his free time!
Alexender Solorio, a dedicated 7th grader at Connect Community Charter, is a standout ambassador for our chess program. His enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanship inspire younger players and set a strong example on and off the board. Alexander consistently demonstrates a drive to improve while uplifting others through mentorship and encouragement. His presence strengthens the connection between our schools and highlights the values of focus, community, and resilience.
Arjun Mediwala, a driven student from Reno High School, brings intensity and initiative to everything he does. A two-time state qualifier in wrestling, Arjun knows the value of discipline and grit—on the mat and on the board. He’s also the founder of EduVance LLC, where he launched an educational app to support student learning nationwide. Whether he’s competing, innovating, or battling it out on Chess.com, Arjun leads with energy, ambition, and a love for the game.
Arav Kaushik, a student at Livingston High School, brings sharp intellect and thoughtful leadership to his role as a chess ambassador. As captain of one of the nation’s top academic bowl teams and a student coach at a local debate club, Arav is deeply committed to academic excellence and mentoring others. He’s also an independent thinker, having written extensively on topics ranging from animal rights to the juvenile justice system, always eager to challenge ideas and explore deeper truths. In chess and beyond, Arav leads with insight, passion, and a genuine desire to create spaces where learning and curiosity thrive.

Vikram, a 9th grader at Emerald High School, has been playing chess since 2017 and brings that same strategic mindset to everything he does. Whether he’s running laps or leveling up in a game, Vikram knows how to stay focused, think ahead, and keep his cool. As an ambassador, he represents Emerald with quiet confidence and leads by example—welcoming new players, supporting his team, and always showing up with respect. On and off the board, Vikram is steady, sharp, and impossible to overlook.
Harini Babu, a student at Ardrey Kell High School, brings focus, creativity, and a deep appreciation for learning to her role as a chess ambassador. Whether she’s analyzing positions or welcoming new players, Harini is dedicated to creating a thoughtful and inclusive chess community. In her free time, she enjoys reading, collecting vinyls, and crocheting—pursuits that reflect her patience, curiosity, and attention to detail. Sahil Shivakumar, a student at Hillview Middle School, is a seasoned chess player ranked in the top 95th percentile on Chess.com. With nearly a decade of experience and 83 tournaments under his belt—including winning the Switzerland Rising Open Division in 2022 and representing California at nationals multiple times—Sahil brings elite skill and global perspective to every game. Outside of chess, he explores his passions through robotics, writing, piano, and a commitment to environmental justice. As a chess ambassador, Sahil blends experience, creativity, and leadership to uplift and inspire his peers.

As a dedicated ambassador, Noah combines strategic thinking from the chessboard with technical expertise from his work on the Aragon Robotics 840 software team. Outside of chess, he excels as a badminton player, enjoys traveling the world, and pursues professional photography. Noah’s leadership, creativity, and global mindset make him a standout representative of the chess community.

Samarth Jain, a student at Amador Valley High School, is a thoughtful and collaborative chess ambassador who thrives on problem-solving and shared learning. He especially enjoys blitz games, refining tactical strategies, and working with others to crack complex challenges—whether it's a tricky endgame or a tough bot. Outside of chess, Samarth excels in academic competitions like Science Bowl and Science Olympiad, and stays active through tennis and taekwondo. He’s passionate about growing the chess community on campus and creating a space where students can sharpen their skills.
